CME School offers two types of courses; both Extensive and Intensive for MCCEE, OSCE, MCCQE1 and MCCQE2 exams:
Extensive Courses: The total duration of the extensive course is 6 weeks (16-18 daily sessions). The typical duration of each daily session is 8 hours [10 am – 7 pm, 1 h Lunch Break] held in either weekends or weekdays. The weekend extensive preparatory course usually suits candidates working on the weekdays. Extensive Courses are offered for MCCEE, OSCE, MCCQE1 and MCCQE2 exams.
Intensive Courses: The total duration of the intensive course is 2 weeks (14 daily sessions in a row). The typical duration of each daily session is 8 hours [10 am – 7 pm, 1 h Lunch Break]. The intensive preparatory course usually suits candidates planning to finish the course in a short period of time and those coming from other provinces as well. Intensive Courses are offered for MCCEE, OSCE, MCCQE1 and MCCQE2 exams.
Q.2. Will the preparatory sessions include practical experience with Standardized Patients?
Yes, usually a minimum of one or two standardized patients will be available during each session depending on specific scenarios that require their presence. Every candidate will have ample opportunity to practice with SP’s a couple of times per every session. All candidates will have the chance to interact with the standardized patients throughout the course.
Q.3. Are candidates allowed to record (sound or video) the sessions?
No. It is totally forbidden to record any part of any of the sessions.
Q.1. In OSCE Mock Exam, how long will each station last?
In each OSCE Mock Exam, there are eight stations. Each station is 12 minutes.
Q.2. Can candidates who are not currently registered in a course participate in the mock exam and how?
Yes. Candidates who are not currently registered for a course participate in the mock exam if spots are available. The mock exam spots are appointed based on payment/confirmation until all spots are full. The registered candidates will be given priority, however everyone is welcome to sign up for the mock exam. Cancellations can be done minimum one week before the session.
Q.3. Do you provide mock exam in the written course (i.e. EE/QE1) as well?
Yes, we conduct a multiple choice question mock exam for the written course.
Q.4. Can external candidates attend your mock exams without taking courses?
Yes, external candidates can attend the mock exams.
Q.1. How can I pay the fees? Can I pay in installments?
The fee for the extensive course can be paid in two installments. All post-dated cheques should be included with the first installment on the second day of the course. The fees for the intensive course must be paid in ONE installment on the second day of the course.
Q.2. Do you provide receipts for the course?
Q.3. Can I share the payment of the course fees with my friend on the basis of attending separately?
No, registration fees cannot be shared or transferred. No one can replace you during the course.
Q.4. Does CME School offer referral discounts on my fee?
Yes. A discount of $ 50 will be processed for each referral.
Q.5.Will I get a discount if I attend a full course with CME School and then decide to register for any of your courses again?
Yes, there is 50% discount on tuition for former full time candidates.
Q.1. Can I still register to a course if I miss the deadline of the registration? Are there fees associated with late registration?
Yes, you can still register after deadline IF there are still seats available. However, the price will be the same and no refund for the missed sessions will be provided. The registration is open until the second day of the course.
Q.2. After the course starts; will I receive adjustments/deductions for the session I missed?
No refund is issued for the missed sessions. It is candidates’ responsibility to attend ALL the scheduled sessions in time. Exceptions can be made only in case of an emergency and ONLY for 1 or 2 sessions that can be rescheduled for later on.
Q.1. Do you offer consultation services about the exams, procedures and steps for certification? Are there any consultation fees?
Yes, we offer consultation services and they are totally free of charge.
Q.2. Do you provide attendance (reference) letters to your candidates?
Yes, we offer attendance (reference) letters with the number of CME hours free of charge to our candidates.
